UTAH DISPUTE RESOLUTION EXISTS TO PROVIDE RESIDENTS OF UTAH WITH QUALITY MEDIATION SERVICES, INFORMATION AND TRAINING IN DISPUTE RESOLUTION, AND THE MEANS TO SUCCESSFULLY, INFORMALLY AND COOPERATIVELY RESOLVE DISPUTES.

DOMESTIC MATTERSUDR MANAGED 582 CASES INVOLVING DOMESTIC DISPUTES IN TY2022/ FY2023, UP FROM 578 IN TY 2021. OF THESE CASES, 293 RESULTED IN CONVENED MEDIATIONS. A TOTAL OF 128, OR 43.7%, OF THESE MEDIATIONS RESULTED IN FULL AGREEMENT. 43 CASES, OR 14.7%, RESULTED IN PARTIAL AGREEMENT, AND 122, OR 41.6%, WERE NOT RESOLVED. 50.3% OF MANAGED CASES WERE CONVERTED TO MEDIATED CASES, DOWN FROM 55.9% IN THE PRIOR YEAR.PROGRAM SERVICE COSTS PER MANAGED CASE WAS $251, UP FROM $212 IN THE PRIOR TAX YEAR.


TRAINING PROGRAMTRAINING PROGRAMS CONTINUED TO REGAIN PRE-COVID LEVELS. UDR TRAINED 69 PARTICIPANTS IN 4 PUBLIC ONLINE WEBINARS. UDR ALSO PROVIDED 2 PRIVATE WORKPLACE TRAINING SEMINARS TO 121 PARTICIPANTS. COST FOR EACH PARTICIPANT WAS $300, DOWN FROM $406 IN THE PRIOR TAX YEAR.
