THE ORGANIZATION IS PRIMARILY DEVOTED TO 1) TRAINING FOR THE UTAH LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVE, 2)LONG-TERM STRATEGIC PLANNING TO PRODUCE A CRIME REDUCTION PLAN FOR THE STATE OF UTAH, 3) COMMUNICATION BETWEEN LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVES ON KEY LAW ENFORCEMENT ISSUES AND 4) WORK AS RESOURCE TO ASSIST LEGISLATURE BY GIVING FEEDBACK REGARDING NEW LEGISLATION.

LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING - THE UTAH CHIEFS OF POLICE ASSOCIATE (UCOPA) PROVIDED TRAINING FOR 220 CHIEFS AND COMMAND LEVEL STAFF AT OUR ANNUAL CONFERENCE.


LEGISLATION - REPRESENTATIVES FOR THE UCOPA TRAVEL TO WASHINGTON DC TO MEET WITH THE STATES ELECTED DELEGATION. THEIR DISCUSSION INCLUDED CURRENT ISSUES AND CHALLENGES MEETING OUR STATE AND LEGISLATION BEING PRESENTED IN CONGRESS.
