UTAH GOLF ASSOCIATION'S MISSION IS TO PROMOTE AMATEUR GOLF THROUGHOUT THE STATE FOR ADULTS AND TEENS. IT COMPUTES HANDICAPS FOR APPROXIMATELY 30,000 MEMBERS IN ORDER FOR THEM TO COMPETE ON AN EQUAL BASIS IN TOURNAMENTS. IT SPONSORS AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

PROMOTES GOLF HANDICAPPING SERVICES AND COMPETITION THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF UTAH. ALSO RUNS TOURNAMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE USGA. THE COMPUTATION OF MEMBER HANDICAPS HELPS TO LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD FOR MEMBERS WHEN COMPETING IN AMATEUR TOURNAMENTS IN-STATE, NATIONWIDE, AND THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. DURING THE YEAR, WE RAN 27 EVENTS, HOSTED THREE TRAVELING TEAMS REPRESENTING UTAH, AND THREE INTERSTATE COMPETITIONS. WE SERVICED 25,309 ADULT AND 4,839 JUNIOR MEMBERSHIPS.
