Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

FIRST TEE OF SOUTHERN COLORADO (FORMERLY KNOWN AS LIFE SKILLS FORE THE YOUTH OF COLORADO SPRINGS) CONDUCTS YEAR-ROUND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING THAT BUILDS CHARACTER, INSTILLS LIFE-ENHANCING VALUES AND PROMOTES HEALTHY CHOICES THROUGH THE GAME OF GOLF. THE PROGRAM OPERATES THROUGH AFFILIATE RELATIONSHIPS IN THE WARMER MONTHS (MAY-SEPT); IN THE COLDER MONTHS, AN INDOOR FACILITY IS USED. THE PROGRAMS INTEGRATE GOLF INSTRUCTION (GOLF ETIQUETTE, SWING MECHANICS, RULES OF PLAY) WITH THE PRESENTATION OF CORE VALUES (E.G. HONESTY, INTEGRITY, RESPONSIBILITY, SPORTSMANSHIP) THAT PARTICIPANTS CAN USE ON THE GOLF COURSE, BUT ALSO IN SCHOOL, WORK, AND FAMILY LIFE.
