PROJECTS FOCUSED ON IMPROVING TODAY PROVIDE THE PARKS WITH RESOURCES THAT HAVE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT ON DAILY OPERATIONS AND VISITOR EXPERIENCES. PROJECT EXAMPLES INCLUDE; ENRICHING THE VISITOR EXPERIENCE THROUGH TRAIL RESTORATION AND IMPROVEMENTS, EXHIBITS, PARK FILMS, PUBLICATIONS, ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS, INCREASED RECREATION ACCESS, INTERPRETIVE SIGNAGE, AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR HANDS-ON ENGAGEMENT AND SERVICE THAT LEAD TO ADVOCACY AND STEWARDSHIP. EXAMPLES OF THIS WORK INCLUDE; FUNDING CURRICULUM AND EXPERIENCE-BASED PROGRAMS, ENSURING FREE ACCESS TO THE PARK FOR 4TH- GRADE STUDENTS, SUPPORTING THOUSANDS OF HOURS OF COLLEGE INTERNSHIPS, REACHING A GLOBAL AUDIENCE THROUGH ZION'S DISTANCE LEARNING PROGRAM, AND PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR NATIVE AMERICAN YOUTH CAMPS AND ACTIVITIES.
