UTAH CONGRESS OF PARENT AND TEACHERS (UTAH PTA) WILL HELP EVERY CHILD REALIZE HIS OR HER POTENTIAL AND WILL SUPPORT AND SPEAK ON BEHALF OF CHILDREN AND YOUTH, ENCOURAGE POSITIVE INVOLVEMENT IN ALL FACEST OF A CHILD'S LIFE, AND ASSIST IN DEVELOPING SKILLS TO RAISE AND PROTECT CHILDREN AND YOUTH.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - ASSISTING PTA LEADERS AND PORTENTIAL LEADERS TO DEVELOP THE SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE TO SUCCESSFULLY PROMOTE THE HEATLH AND WLEFARE OF UTAH'S CHILDREN AND ENCOURAGE COLLABORATIONS AMONG PARENTS, SCHOOLS, AND COMMUNITIES. STUDENT INVOLVEMENT - PROVIDING SECONDARY STUDENTS THROUGHOUT UTAH WITH INFORMATION AND PROGRAMS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR THEIR AGE GROUP; INCLUDING A STATE STUDENT BOARD, ANNUAL BATTLE OF THE BANDS, AND SAFE GRADUATION NIGHT ACTIVITIES. STUDENT INVOLVEMENT EFFORTS ARE DIRECTED BY SEVEN COMMISSIONERS WHO EACH FOCUS ON ASPECTS OF THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF CHILDREN. MEMBERSHIP SERVICES - SERVICING THE APPROXIMATELY 120,000 PTA MEMBERS IN UTAH AND THE UNITS TO WHICH EACH MEMBER BELONGS THROUGH PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS ABOUT PTA'S MISSION, A NEWSLETTER, OUR WEBSITE, AND PERSONNEL. OTHER SERVICE - WE PROVIDE ADVOCACY TRANING LEGISLATIVE, COMMUNITY INVOLVMENT, EDUCATION, FAMILY LIFE, HEALTH, INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT, AND SAFETY.
