BUILT A PERMANENT WWII VETERANS MEMORIAL LOCATED AT JASTRO PARK 2900 TRUXTUN AVE BAKERSFIELD CA 93301 THIS MEMORIAL IS AN OUTSIDE STRUCTURE THAT CONTAINS THE NAMES OF KERN COUNTYS WWII VETERANS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF SERVICE FOR OUR NATION AND INCLUDES THE NAMES OF KERN COUNTY KERN COUNTY WWII VETERANS WHO CAME HOME. ALL NAMES ARE ENGRAVED IN GRANITE & THERE ARE VARIOUS BENCHES WITH INSCRIPTIONS. AND WWII HISTORICAL INFORMATION. THE NATIONAL FLAG FLIES OVER THE MEMORIAL ALONG WITH THE CALIFORNIA FLYING BELOW IT, (WITH LIGHTS) IT IS EASILY VIEWED FROM THE STREET AND VISITORS ARE ABLE TO READ AND TOUCH THE MEMORIAL.ONGOING: 2021-2022 DONATIONS (CASH AND GRANTS RECEIVED ) FROM DONORS
