AUBURN UNIVERSITY IS THE PRIME CONTRACTOR FOR THE SYSTEMS ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION AGREEMENT FROM THE DOD. IDEA IS ONE OF 3 SUBCONTRACTORS ON THE EFFORT. FOR 2021, IDEA INVOICED THE FIRST OF 9 PAYABLE MILESTONES FOR DEVELOPING THE CURRICULUM FOR A 2-YEAR ASSOCIATES DEGREE PATHFINDER PROGRAM OFFERED AT CALHOUN COMMUNITY COLLEGE. THE CURRICULUM WAS OUTLINED FOR THE FULL 24 MONTH PLAN OF STUDY AND CLASSROOM INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS WERE PREPARED FOR THE FIRST CLASS (SYS 101) FOR INSTRUCTION IN AUGUST 2021.
THE NONPROFIT ADVANCED MANUFACTURING INNOVATION AND INTEGRATION CENTER (AMIIC) PROVIDED FUNDS (5000) TO IDEA AS A CONTRIBUTION TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION COURSE ON AN INTRODUCTION TO MODEL-BASED SYSTEMS ENGINEERING. THE COURSE WAS IN THE PLANNING STAGES AT THE END OF 2021 WITH COURSE CONTENT DERIVED FROM THE WORK ON THE SET PROGRAM FUNDED BY THE DOD THROUGH THE PRIME CONTRACTOR AUBURN UNIVERSITY.
IDEA CONTINUES TO ASSESS NEW OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND THEIR PROGRAMS. THESE EXPENSES ARE A REPRESENTATION AND ALLOCATION OF THESE EXPANSION EFFORTS.
