THE DANCE COUNCIL PRESENTED MODERN DANCER DARVENSKY LEWIS IN PERFORMANCE AND A WORKSHOP. ADDITIONALLY, ANDREW NEMR DID BOTH A TAP PERFORMANCE AND WORKSHOP. THE INTERNATIONAL CHOREOGRAPHER FATIMA ROBINSON LED A DANCE WORKSHOP. TERMINUS MODERN BALLET PERFORMED "LORE" OVER TWO WEEKENDS; A SUMMER PERFORMANCE FOR CHILDREN OF "PETER AND THE WOLF", AND THEIR STUDENT COMPANY PERFORMED A WEEKEND OF SIX "NUTCRACKER SUITE" PERFORMANCES. GLO PLATFORM, A CONTEMPORARY IMMERSIVE DANCE COMPANY, PERFORMED AT THE OPENING OF KRISTINE MAYS "RICH SOIL" EXHIBIT.
TERTULIA (WORLD RENOWNED CHAMBER MUSICIANS) PERFORMED EACH SEASON (SPRING, SUMMER, FALL, WINTER). EACH SEASONAL WEEKEND INCLUDED A DINNER CONCERT, CASUAL PERFORMANCE AND ARTIST TALK; SUNSET SERENADE (FREE); SCHOOL CONCERT AND VISIT TO THE PALMETTO SENIOR LIVING CENTER (BOTH FREE). ALL PERFORMANCES WERE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S SILENT FILM "THE LODGER" WAS SCREENED WITH LIVE PERFORMANCE OF MUSICAL SCORE FEATURING THE COMPOSER OF THE PIECE AND FIVE STRING MUSICIANS. THE MUSIC COUNCIL ALSO PROVIDED LIVE PERFORMANCE BY OKORIE JOHNSON AT THE CITY'S SPRING FESTIVAL AT CITY HALL (FREE).
THE THEATER COUNCIL SPONSORED CONCERTS BY TWO ACCOMPLISHED BROADWAY PERFORMERS: JEREMY JORDAN AND MEGAN HILTY. BOTH CONCERTS WERE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND PRESENTED AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET THE ARTISTS. ADDITIONALLY, THE THEATER COUNCIL COLLABORATED WITH DAD'S GARAGE (A WELL-KNOWN ATLANTA IMPROV THEATRICAL PERFORMANCE ORGANIZATION) TO PRESENT BOTH A CHILDREN AND ADULT PERFORMANCE ON THE SERENBE CAMPUS. ALL WERE OPEN TO THE PUBIC.
OTHER EXPENSES AND REVENUES RELATED TO PROVIDING QUALITY ENTERTAINMENT AND INTERACTION THAT GENERATES COMPASSIONATE UNDERSTANDING OF VARYING CULTURES AND VIEWPOINTS, BOTH FOR SERENBE AND OUR BROADER COMMUNITIES.
