PROVIDING TRAINING AND STRATEGY SUPPORT FOR MUTUAL AID ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE MEETING NEEDS IN OUR COMMUNITIES WHERE LOCAL GOVERNMENT IS FAILING. PROVIDING NON PARTISAN GOVERNANCE TRAINING TO LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS IN THE FORM OF REGULAR WORKSHOPS, AS WELL AS LARGER SUMMITS AND A GOVERNANCE ACADEMY. WE TRAIN COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS. THIS HAPPENS BOTH THROUGH OUR ORGANIZING FELLOWSHIP AND THROUGH OUR ORGANIZERS CLUB.
WE AIM TO BUILD A MEDIA PLATFORM THAT CAN EDUCATE OUR PEOPLE, GROW OUR BASE, AND BEGIN TO OFFER AN ALTERNATIVE TO TRADITIONAL NEWS OUTLETS. WORK OVERLAPS WITH OTHER PROGRAMS, SUCH AS THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM BECAUSE COACHING AND TRAINING IS EMPHASIZED.
THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IS A PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL ORGANIZERS THAT INCLUDES REGULAR TRAINING (BOTH INDIVIDUAL & GROUP) TO HELP THEM DEVELOP ORGANIZING SKILLS AND STRATEGIES.
THIS INCLUDES COSTS FOR OUR ONLINE SERVICES THAT ARE INTEGRAL TO ALL THE PROGRAM WORK WE DO.
