AMERICAN BODHI CENTER IS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL RETREAT CENTER THAT PROMOTES PEACE, MINDFULNESS, AND THE SHARING OF BUDDHIST CULTURE AND IDEAS BETWEEN THE CHINESE-AMERICAN AND OTHER COMMUNITIES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

STARTALK STUDENT PROGRAM PROVIDES THREE AND HALF WEEK SUMMER COURSES AND 90 HOURS OF INSTRUCTION FOR ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THE PROGRAM AIMS TO RAISE THE AWARENESS OF AND STIMULATE STUDENTS INTEREST IN LEARNING CHINESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE.


BUDDHIST YOUTH CAMP PROVIDES FOUR DAYS COURSES AND ADULT CAMP. THE PROGRAM AIMS TO PURIFY THOUGHT AND BODY, HELP YOUNG PEOPLE EXPLORE BUDDHISM AND GROW IN WISDOM AND SELF-ESTEEM. THIS PROGRAM WAS TEMPORARILY STOPPED IN 2021.


RETREAT PROGRAM IS CONDUCTED BY VEN. KATAPUNNO AND CONSISTS OF SITTING AND WALKING MEDITATION FOLLOWED BY DHARMA TALK & DISCUSSION. THIS PROGRAM WAS TEMPORARILY STOPPED IN 2021.


OTHER ACTIVITIES TO SUPPORT EXEMPT PURPOSE, SUCH AS ORGANIC GARDEN TOUR, SCHOLARSHIP AND SOME OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS.
