THE CLINIC WAS OPEN 1 EVENING PER WEEK FOR 48 WEEKS DURING THE YEAR. 6 ADVANCED LEVEL VOLUNTEER PRACTITIONERS (MD'S, PA'S & LPN'S) AND 18 NURSES, EXAMINED 1078 PATIENTS (195 NEW PATIENTS) IN ADDITION, 14 OTHER INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS ASSISTED WITH FRONT DESK DUTIES AND SPANISH TRANSLATION. DURING 2020 THE CLINIC COLLABORATED WITH TETON COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH TO OFFER COVID-19 VACCINE TO OUR PATIENTS. THE CLINIC ALSO BECAME A PICK-UP SITE FOR HOLE FOOD RESCUE'S NO-COST GROCERY PROGRAM.
THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF JACKSON HOLE AWARDED A COMMUNITY IMPACT GRANT TO THE CLINIC TO BE USED TO SUPPORT THE CLINIC'S PILOT PROGRAM - MEDICAL MANAGEMENT FOR DIABETES IN TETON COUNTY. THE GRANT COVERED INSULIN COSTS, STIPENDS FOR MEDICAL CARE PROVIDERS DIRECTLY INVOLVED WITH THIS PROGRAM, ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS, AND INTERPRETATIVE SERVICES. PATIENTS WERE REQUIRED TO ATTEND CLASSES IN LIFESTYLE MODIFICATION SUPPORT AND SOCIAL NEEDS ASSESSMENT PROVIDED BY ST. JOHN'S HEALTH DIABETES EDUCATION GROUP. EARLY RESULTS SHOW IMPROVED PATIENT COMPLIANCE AND IMPROVED HEALTH.
