THE ARIZONA HOUSING COALITION IS A COLLABORATIVE ASSOCIATION THAT LEADS IN THE EFFORTS TO END HOMELESSNESS AND ADVOCATE FOR SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR ALL ARIZONANS.

AZHC SPEARHEADED THE CALL FOR INCREASING THE STATE HOUSING TRUST FUND, AND THE LEGISLATURE ALLOCATED 60 MILLION TO THE FUND TO ADDRESS GROWING HOUSING CHALLENGES ARIZONA FAMILIES FACE. THE ARIZONA HOUSING COALITION WAS APPOINTED TO TE STATEWIDE LEGISLATIVE HOUSING SUPPLY STUDY COMMITTEE. AZHCS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR NAMED AS ON THE ARIZONA CAPITOL TIMES POWER 12 LEADERS IN THE HOUSING INDUSTRY. WE CONSULTED ON 18 PROPOSED MUNICIPAL HOUSING POLICIES, INCLUDING HOUSING PLANS, ZONING AND LAND USE PROPOSALS ENGAGED WITH WORKGROUPS ACROSS THE THREE ARIZONA CONTINUA OF CARE IN EQUITY WITHIN OUR STATES HOMELESS RESPONSE SYSTEMS. WE HOSTED THE MARICOPA STANDDOWN WHICH SERVED 700 VETERANS, AND COORDINATED STANDDOWN EVENTS ACROSS THE STATE, HELPING 1,635 VETERANS IN NEED. WE COLLABORATED WITH ASU KNOWLEDGE EXCHANGE FOR RESILIENCE AND NEW AMERICA ON THEIR FORECLOSURE AND EVICTION ANALYSIS TOOL, HELPING TO IMPROVE EVICTION DATA STATEWIDE.
