THE ARIZONA HOUSING COALITION IS A COLLABORATIVE ASSOCIATION THAT LEADS IN THE EFFORTS TO END HOMELESSNESS AND ADVOCATE FOR SAFE, AFFORDABLE HOMES FOR ALL ARIZONANS.

EDUCATE UNDERTOOK A COMPREHENSIVE AND THOROUGH ANALYSIS OF ALL THE OVER 9 BILLION IN FEDERAL COVID-19 RELIEF DOLLARS COMING INTO ARIZONA AIMED AT ADDRESSING HOUSING INSECURITY. DEVELOPED SIX POLICY RECOMMENDATION AIMED AT STEMMING EVICTIONS FOR ADOPTION AT THE ARIZONA ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE OF THE COURTS. SHIFTED OUR IN-PERSON TRAININGS, EVENTS, AND CONFERENCE TO A VIRTUAL PLATFORM AND REACHED 724 PARTICIPANTS OVER 24 TRAININGS. WELCOMED 314 PARTICIPANTS AT AN EVICTION FORUM HELD IN LIEU OF OUR IN-PERSON ANNUAL CONFERENCE. ELEVATED OUR MESSAGING AND COMMUNICATION PRESENCE AMONGST OUR MEMBERSHIP AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC. INCREASED OUR VOICE IN THE INDUSTRY WITH INCREASED MEMBERSHIP GROWTH.
ADVOCATE DEVELOPED A BEST PRACTICES ADVOCACY TOOLKIT FOR MUNICIPAL LEADERS AND HOUSING ADVOCATE TO INCREASE THE SUPPLY OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING AT THE LOCAL LEVEL. INTRODUCED LEGISLATION TO INCREASE THE STATE INVESTMENT TOWARDS HOUSING INSTABILITY THROUGH LEGISLATIVE EFFORTS. INTRODUCED LEGISLATION TO RESTORE THE STATE HOUSING TRUST FUND. INTRODUCED LEGISLATION TO ENACT A STATE AFFORDABLE HOUSING TAX CREDIT, WHICH WAS SIGNED INTO LAW IN JUNE OF 2021.
COLLABORATE SINCE WE COULD NOT HOST OUR ANNUAL STANDDOWN EVENT REACHING VULNERABLE VETERANS AND CONNECTING THEM TO SERVICES AND RESOURCES TO END THEIR HOMELESSNESS AND CONNECT THEM TO EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING, WE ASSISTED IN THE FOLLOWING OTHER AVENUES PROVIDED 56 VETERANS WITH THE NECESSARY TOOLS TO SECURE THEIR FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT STATUS. SUPPORTED STANDDOWN EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE TO REACH 58 VETERANS. SECURED NECESSARY FURNITURE AND BASIC MOVE-IN ITEMS AND COORDINATED THE MOVE-IN OF 65 APARTMENTS FOR VETERANS MOVING INTO PERMANENT HOUSING.
