CENTRAL ARIZONA CACTUS AND SUCCULENT SOCIETY (CACSS) HELD MONTHLY MEMBER MEETINGS WHERE WE SHARE NEWS, LISTEN TO PRESENTATIONS ABOUT CACTI AND SUCCULENTS AND/OR TRAVEL EXPERIENCES IN SEARCH OF PLANTS IN THEIR NATIVE HABITATS AND ACQUIRE PLANTS THROUGH SILENT AUCTIONS. IN ADDITION, THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, MEMBERS CAN:- GO ON FIELD TRIPS TO VISIT LOCAL AND OUT-OF-STATE GARDENS AND PLANT SHOWS- BORROW BOOKS FROM A LARGE CLUB-OWNED LIBRARY AVAILABLE AT EACH MEETING- ENTER THEIR PLANTS IN A SOCIETY SHOW. IN 2023, THE ANNUAL SHOW AND SALE EVENT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS. THE SHOW GIVES MEMBERS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXHIBIT THEIR FAVORITE PLANTS AND PRESENT EDUCATIONAL DISPLAYS ON GROWING, HORTICULTURE AND CONSERVATION. OUR SHOW AND SALE HELPS SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE JOYS OF GROWING UNIQUE CACTI AND SUCCULENTS, WHILE SERVING AS A FORUM FOR DISCUSSION AND LEARNING THE LATEST HORTICULTURAL TRENDS.CACSS PUBLISHES A MONTHLY NEWSLETTER CALLED CENTRAL SPINE THAT IS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH THE CLUB EMAIL DISTRIBUTION LIST AND IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE.CACSS IS GRATEFUL TO THE DESERT BOTANICAL GARDEN FOR PROVIDING MEETING SPACE AND SUPPORTING SOME OF ITS PROJECTS.
