THE ALS ASSOCIATION ARIZONA CHAPTER, A 501(C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION IS THE ONLY STATEWIDE VOLUNTARY HEALTH ORGANIZATION DEDICATED SOLELY TO THE FIGHT AGAINST AMYOTROPHIC LATERAL SCLEROSIS, PROVIDING COMPREHENSIVE PATIENT SERVICES AND SUPPORT TO ARIZONA'S ALS COMMUNITY. WE ARE COMPASSIONATE, COMMITTED, AND RELENTLESS IN THE FIGHT TO DEFEAT ALS. SINCE 1991 WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED CRITICAL ASSISTANCE FOR MORE THAN 3,500 PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES AT EVERY STAGE OF THE DISEASE BY OFFERING DISEASE EDUCATION, PATIENT CARE MANAGEMENT, A MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM, TRANSPORTATION, AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY ALS CLINICS. THE ARIZONA CHAPTER ALSO RECOGNIZES THAT ALS AFFECTS THE ENTIRE FAMILY AND OFFERS SUPPORT THROUGH SPECIALIZED SUPPORT GROUPS, FAMILY COUNSELING, RESPITE CARE, A YOUTH PROGRAM, AND ADAPTIVE RECREATION ACTIVITIES, ENABLING EACH FAMILY TO LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST.EVERY YEAR, OUR NATIONAL ORGANIZATION INVESTS MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN RESEARCH CONDUCTED BY THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST SCIENTISTS IN THE WORLD. BECAUSE OF THE SUPPORT OF INDIVIDUALS, FOUNDATIONS, AND CORPORATE PARTNERS WE CAN CONTINUE TO GIVE HELP AND HOPE TO THOSE FACING THIS DEVASTATING DISEASE.
