ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF EAST VALLEY, ARIZONA IS A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO USING ITS COLLECTIVE STRENGTH TO ASSIST AND SERVE THE RESIDENTS OF THE COMMUNITY.

THE OPERATION SCHOOL BELL PROGRAM PROVIDES NEW CLOTHING, UNIFORMS, SHOES, HYGIENE KITS AND OTHER ESSENTIALS TO EAST VALLEY CHILDREN REFERRED BY THEIR SCHOOLS. ALSO PROVIDES BEDROLLS, BUS PASSES, ESSENTIALS, AND SCHOOL TUITION TO HOMELESS TEENS ATTENDING CHANDLER AND GILBERT SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THIS FISCAL YEAR DRESSED 1,446 STUDENTS AT RETAIL STORES AND 5,577 STUDENTS ATTENDING UNIFORM SCHOOLS. PROVIDED APPROXIMATELY 338 HOMELESS STUDENTS WITH SCHOOL AND LIFE NECESSITIES.
ASSAULT SURVIVOR KITS WERE PROVIDED TO 3,865 ASSAULT SURVIVORS. THESE KITS CONTAIN CLOTHING AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN WHO ARE SURVIVORS OF ANY TYPE OF ASSAULT. THE KITS ARE GIVEN TO HOSPITALS, TRAUMA CENTERS AND OTHER LIKE AGENCIES IN THE EAST VALLEY FOR DISTRIBUTION.
SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO 12 STUDENTS WHO ATTEND THE EAST VALLEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY TO ASSIST WITH FOUR SEMESTERS OF EDUCATION AT INSTITUTES OF HIGHER LEARNING.
