THE ASSISTANCE LEAGUE OF EAST VALLEY, ARIZONA IS A VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS THROUGH COMMUNITY PROGRAMS.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE OPERATION SCHOOL BELL PROGRAM PROVIDES NEW CLOTHING, UNIFORMS, SHOES, HYGIENE KITS AND OTHER ESSENTIALS TO EAST VALLY CHILDREN REFERRED BY THEIR SCHOOLS. ALSO PROVIDES BEDROLLS, BUS PASSES AND SCHOOL TUITION TO HOMELESS TEEMS ATTENDING CHANDLER AND GILBERT SCHOOL DISTRICTS. THIS FISCAL YEAR DRESSED 6,028 STUDENTS.


ADULT ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS


486 ASSAULT SURVIVOR KITS WERE PROVIDED TO ASSAULT SURVIVORS. THESE KITS CONTAIN CLOTHING AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN WHO ARE SURVIVORS OF ANY TYPE OF ASSAULT. THE KITS, AS WELL AS OTHER USEFUL ITEMS ARE PROVIDED TO HOSPITALS, TRAUMA CENTERS AND OTHER LIKE AGENCIES IN THE EAST VALLEY FOR DISTRIBUTION. OVER 3,600 INDIVIDUALS WERE ASSISTED THROUGH THIS PROGRAM.


SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED TO 14 STUDENTS WHO GRADUATING FROM THE EAST VALLEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND PLAN TO PURSUE HIGHER EDUCATION.
