THE MISSION OF THE ARIZONA FIRE CHIEFS ASSOCIATION IS TO SERVE AND SUPPORT ARIZONAS FIRE SERVICE LEADERS OF TODAY AND TO HELP DEVELOP ITS LEADERS OF TOMORROW.

THE AFCA PROVIDED ASSISTANCE AND SUPPORT TO ITS OVER 900 INDIVIDUAL AND DEPARTMENTAL FIRE SERVICE MEMBERS THROUGHOUT ARIZONA IN HELPING THEM WITH THE SIGNIFICANT CHALLENGES PRESENTED IN HIRING AND RETENTION OF PERSONNEL.IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE AFDA PRESENTED THE 2023 FIRE SERVICE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE EXPO WITH OVER 450 PARTICIPANTS AND 130 EXHIBITORS. ASSISTED WITH THE WINTER AFDA CONFERENCE AND ANNUAL STATE FIRE SCHOOL. OFFERED A SECOND YEAR OF THE NEW 2-WEEK LEADERSHIP PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. CONTINUED TO SUPPORT AND ADVOCATE FOR KEY LEGISLATION IMPACTING THE STATES FIRE SERVICE. FACILITATED A NUMBER OF KEY FIRE SERVICE INITIATIVES INCLUDING THE FIRE SERVICE MUTUAL AID COMMITTEE NEXTGEN MEETINGS FIRE-BASED EMS. MAINTAINED A CLOSE COLLABORATION WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF OTHER FIRE SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING PFFA, AFDA , AND AFSI. PARTICIPATED AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL WITH THE WFCA IAFC ON VARIOUS COMMITTEES, CONFERENCE DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP INITIATIVES.
