SINCE 1977, THE PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION HAS ASSISTED PIMA COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN RESPONDING TO THE DIVERSE NEEDS OF THE PEOPLE OF PIMA COUNTY, ARIZONA. PHILANTHROPIC CONTRIBUTIONS SECURED BY THE FOUNDATION FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COLLEGE SUPPORT STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS, PROGRAM ENHANCEMENTS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, WHICH IN TURN MAXIMIZE THE COLLEGE'S POTENTIAL FOR PROVIDING ACCESS, SUCCESS AND EXCELLENCE IN THE EDUCATIONAL, SOCIAL, AND CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT OF OUR CITIZENS.DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021, THE FOUNDATION CELEBRATED THE FOLLOWING ACHIEVEMENTS:#1: DISBURSED 186 INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS VALUED AT $159,267 TO PCC
STUDENTS.#2: PROVIDED $135,516 IN PROGRAMMATIC SUPPORT (INCLUDING TO ATHLETICS, ACADEMIC DEPARTMENTS, STUDENT EMERGENCIES, AZTEC RESOURCE CENTER - FOOD PANTRY, AMOUNT OTHERS).#3: SECURED $2.5M INVESTMENT SUPPORTING EQUIPMENT PURCHASES, EXPANDED CURRICULUM OFFERINGS AND FACULTY CHAIR POSITIONS IN APPLIED TECHNOLOGY DIVISION, SPECIFICALLY FOR ADVANCED MANUFACTURING AND AVIATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENTS.
