EYESPY 20/20 IS THE WORLD'S ONLY COMPLETELY AUTOMATED, SUBJECTIVE VISION SCREENING METHOD. THE EYESPY 20/20 VISION SCREENING PROGRAM IS FAST, ACCURATE, RELIABLE AND FUN FOR ALL STUDENTS. SCREENINGS ARE AVAILABLE TO YUMA COUNTY STUDENTS AT NO COST.
JA BIZTOWN COMBINES IN-CLASS LEARNING WITH A DAY-LONG VISIT TO A SIMULATED TOWN. THIS POPULAR PROGRAM ALLOWS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS TO OPERATE BANKS, MANAGE RESTAURANTS, WRITE CHECKS, AND VOTE FOR MAYOR. THE PROGRAM HELPS STUDENTS CONNECT THE DOTS BETWEEN WHAT THEY LEARN IN SCHOOL AND THE REAL WORLD. JA BIZTOWN IS HELPING YUMA COUNTY STUDENTS BREAK THE CYCLE OF POVERTY IN THEIR FAMILIES.
FEMA'S MISSION IS TO SUPPORT OUR CITIZENS AND FIRST RESPONDERS TO ENSURE THAT AS A NATION WE WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD, SUSTAIN AND IMPROVE OUR CAPABILITY TO PREPARE FOR, PROTECT AGAINST, RESPOND TO, RECOVER FROM AND MITIGATE ALL HAZARDS. UWYC IS MOBILIZING YUMA COUNTY RESIDENTS TO INVEST IN THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, INCOME, AND HEALTH. UWYC BELIEVES THAT IF INDIVIDUALS ARE SELF- SUFFICIENT, HAVE GOOD HEALTH AND A GOOD EDUCATION THEY WILL BE CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS AND THUS MAKE A BETTER COMMUNITY FOR EVERYONE. UWYC PROVIDES SUPPORT TO MORE THAN 24 PROGRAMS IN AREAS OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICE AGENCIES. IN ADDITION IT MANAGES PROGRAMS THAN PROMOTE EARLY LITERACY, SCHOOL READINESS, AND ACCESS TO IMPORTANT SERVICES. UWYC WORKS COLLABORATIVELY WITH HUMAN SERVICE PROVIDERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND OTHER COMMUNITY PARTNERS. UWYC RECEIVES DONATIONS THROUGH THE CAMPAIGN PLEDGING PROCESS WHERE DONORS CAN CHOOSE TO GIVE TO THE UNITED WAY COMMUNITY FUND OR ANOTHER QUALIFYING AGENCY OF THEIR CHOICE. COMMUNITY FUNDS ARE ALLOCATED BY A PANEL OF VOLUNTEERS EVERY TWO YEARS TO AGENCIES WITH THE MOST PRESSING NEEDS IN THE COMMUNITY.
