TUCSON COMMUNITY SCHOOL'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A CREATIVE LEARNING EXPERIENCE EMPHASIZING OUTDOOR PLAY AND FAMILY PARTICIPATION IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT WHICH RESPECTS EACH CHILD'S UNIQUENESS AND INDIVIDUAL LEARNING STYLE.

SEE SCHEDULE OTUCSON COMMUNITY SCHOOL: STATEMENT OF PROGRAM ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2020-2021AS A NON-PROFIT PARENT COOPERATIVE PRESCHOOL/KINDERGARTEN WE SERVE YOUNG CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. IN THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL YEAR, WE ENROLLED 26 CHILDREN WHO RECEIVED HIGH QUALITY EARLY EDUCATION PROGRAM SERVICES. WE PROVIDE PARENT EDUCATION AND SPONSOR AND SUPPORT ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY THAT SUPPORT EARLY CHILDHOOD AND CARE.IN MARCH OF 2020, OUR PROGRAM HAD TO CLOSE FOR BUSINESS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, AND REMAINED CLOSED THROUGH DECEMBER 2020. IN JANUARY OF 2021 OUR SCHOOL OPENED WITH GUIDANCE OF HEALTH OFFICIALS, AND WE IMMEDIATELY FILLED THE CLASSROOM WITH 13 STUDENTS. IN MARCH OF 2021 WE WERE ABLE TO OPEN A SECOND CLASSROOM AND QUICKLY MET OUR ENROLLMENT GOALS WITH 13 ADDITIONAL STUDENTS. BETWEEN MARCH AND JUNE, WE HAD 47 CHILDREN PRE-REGISTERED FOR THE UPCOMING FALL SEMESTER. WITH SCHOOL IN SESSION, WE HOPE TO CONTINUE TO FUNDRAISE WHICH ALLOWS US TO OFFER SCHOLARSHIPS AND INCREASE ACCESS TO ALL IN SOUTHERN ARIZONAWE ARE LICENSED BY THE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES OFFICE OF CHILD CARE LICENSING. THE SCHOOL DOES NOT DISCRIMINATE ON THE BASIS OF RACE, AGE, SEX, GENDER IDENTITY, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, DISABILITY, RELIGION, NATIONAL OR ETHNIC ORIGIN, OR ECONOMIC STATUS IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF ITS ADMISSIONS POLICY, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OR OTHER SCHOOL PROGRAMS.
