THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE CORPORATION SHALL BE TO: (I) SUPPORT GILCHRIST HOSPICE CARE, INC. ("GHC") SO LONG AS SUCH ORGANIZATION CONTINUES TO BE CREATED AND ORGANIZED FOR EXEMPT PURPOSES WITHIN THE MEANING OF SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE CODE; (II) DEVELOP, INITIATE, AND OPERATE PROJECTS THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE NEEDS OF GHC; AND (III) ENGAGE IN ANY LAWFUL ACT OR ACTIVITY IN FURTHERANCE OF THE FOREGOING, PROVIDED SUCH ACTIVITIES ARE NOT IN VIOLATION, OR INCONSISTENT WITH, THE CORPORATION'S STATUS AS A CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE CODE.

GILCHRIST BALTIMORE CENTER SUPPORT CORPORATION ("GBCSC") WAS CREATED PRIMARILY TO SERVE AS THE QUALIFIED LOW INCOME BUSINESS ("QALICB") FOR PURPOSES OF THE NEW MARKET TAX CREDIT ("NMTC") FINANCING AGREEMENT FOR THE NEW INPATIENT HOSPICE FACILITY AT STADIUM PLACE, IN BALTIMORE CITY. IN THIS CAPACITY, GBCSC RECEIVED QUALIFIED LOW INCOME COMMUNITY INVESTMENT ("QLICI") LOANS TO FUND CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW FACILITY. UPON COMPLETION OF CONSTRUCTION, GBCSC WILL LEASE THE FACILITY TO GILCHRIST HOSPICE CARE, INC., ("GILCHRIST"), AN ORGANIZATION EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER INTERNAL REVENUE CODE SECTION 501(C)(3). GILCHRIST WILL USE THE FACILITY TO PROVIDE INPATIENT HOSPICE AND ELDER MEDICAL CARE TO RESIDENTS OF BALTIMORE CITY.
