EDUCATIONAL MEMBER EVENTS & TRAINING: IN-PERSON EDUCATIONAL EVENTS- OILFIELD CONNECTIONS INTERNATIONAL (OCI) PROVIDES IN-PERSON AND ONLINE EDUCATIONAL EVENTS FOR MEMBERS. THESE USUALLY INCLUDE A GUEST SPEAKER WHO SHARES THEIR LIFE OR CAREER EXPERIENCES AT THESE EVENTS. OCI WAS ABLE TO HOLD 146 IN-PERSON EVENTS DURING THE REPORTING PERIOD; THE MEETINGS SERVED 3,500 ATTENDEES. THIS YEAR SAW CONTINUED IMPACTS FROM COVID-19, CAUSING OCI TO CANCEL 18 OF THE PLANNED EVENTS. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.
OCI WAS ABLE TO SUPPORT 20 DIFFERENT CHARITIES IN A TOTAL OF 10 CITIES DURING THIS REPORTING PERIOD. OCI WAS ABLE TO RAISE ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THEIR CHARITIES THROUGH THEIR FOR CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENTS AND THE NEWLY HELD WOMEN'S RETREAT. THE TOTAL DONATIONS TO CHARITIES FROM 5/1/2021 TO 4/30/22 WAS OVER 40,000, WITH 16% BENEFITTING EDUCATION, 25% BENEVOLENCE, 8% TO FIGHT SEX TRAFFICKING, 30% FAITH-BASED DONATIONS, 8% BENEFITING MILITARY VETERANS, AND 13% TOWARDS DISASTER RELIEF.
