HIATUS RANCH PROVIDES VETERAN SUICIDE PREVENTION SERVICES THROUGH RESIDENTIAL RETREAT PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE A STRUCTURED PROGRAM FOR VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS THROUGH EQUINE-ASSISTED THERAPY, RANCH CHORES, OUTDOOR RECREATION ACTIVITIES, HANDCRAFTS AND MENTAL HEALTH COACHING SESSIONS. THE ORGANIZATION WILL PROVIDE WEEKEND, 14-DAY, 30-DAY RETREAT EXPERIENCES AS WELL AS DROP-IN SERVICES. RETREAT PARTICIPANTS COMMIT TO A THREE-MONTH FOLLOW-UP PROGRAM WITH OUR PSYCHOLOGIST AND AN OPTIONAL ONE-YEAR FOLLOW-UP PROGRAM IS OFFERED. DURING 2022 THE ORGANIZATION ENGAGED LOCAL VOLUNTEERS AND BROUGHT RESCUE HORSES AND ANIMALS TO THE RANCH TO DEVELOP A TWO WEEK IMMERSIVE PROGRAM. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO OFFER THE FIRST 14-DAY RETREAT PROGRAM TO TWO VETERANS AND ONE ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBER. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO BEGAN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SERVICE DOG PROGRAM TO TRAIN DOGS TO ASSIST COMBAT VETERANS IN VARIOUS CAPACITIES.
