Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
Part 3
THE MAIN PROGRAM FOR 1000 GRETAS IS THE GRANT-GIVING PROGRAM WHEREBY GRANTS ARE MADE TO DISCOVER AND SUPPORT ENTREPRENEURS WITH UNIQUE IDEAS TO SOLVE CLIMATE CHANGE. FOR 2022, 10 GRANTS RANGING FROM $1000 TO $5000 WERE MADE TO ENTREPRENEURS WORKING TO SOLVE CLIMATE RELATED CHALLENGES. WITH EACH GRANT, THE ORGANIZATION HELPS UNCOVER IMPORTANT IDEAS FOR SOLVING CLIMATE CHANGE BY FUNDING "UNHEARD" VOICES IN SOCIETY. FOR EACH GRANT AWARDED, AT LEAST ONE PERSON - THE INNOVATOR - IS IMMEDIATELY BENEFITTED, USUALLY THE FOUNDER OF AN ORGANIZATION WHO IS WORKING ON ISSUES RELATED TO CLIMATE CHANGE. GRANT FUNDS ARE TYPICALLY USED TO SUPPORT AND GROW THE ORGANIZATION THAT THE APPLICANT LEADS. INVESTING THESE FUNDS INTO THE ORGANIZATION OFTEN CREATES EXPANSION THROUGH HIRING OF EMPLOYEES, ACCESS TO ACCELERATOR PROGRAMS FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP, AND NETWORKS FOR FURTHER FUNDING. 1000 GRETAS ALSO PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR GRANT RECIPIENTS THROUGH MENTORSHIP AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. ULTIMATELY, THESE INITIATIVES PROVIDED BY 1000 GRETAS ALLOW GRANTEES TO INCREASE THE IMPACT OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ORGANIZATIONS AND THUS BETTER SERVE SOCIETY WITH IDEAS TO MITIGATE AND ADAPT TO CLIMATE CHANGE.
