THE BARNES & THORNBURG LLP RACIAL AND SOCIAL JUSTICE FOUNDATION INC., A NONPROFIT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION, WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2020 TO COMBAT RACISM AND SOCIAL INJUSTICE. PARTNERS AND STAFF OF BARNES & THORNBURG LLP (APPROXIMATELY 1,000 INDIVIDUALS) CONTRIBUTED FUNDING, WHICH WAS USED TO MAKE GRANTS TO SIX 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS DURING 2021. THE BARNES & THORNBURG LLP RACIAL AND SOCIAL JUSTICE FOUNDATION INC. INTENDS TO DO MORE THAN JUST MAKE GRANTS. THE FOUNDATION WILL ENGAGE IN THE DOZEN COMMUNITIES IN WHICH BARNES & THORNBURG LLP OPERATES AND LOOKS FOR WAYS TO PROMOTE DIALOGUE, VOLUNTEERISM AND COMMUNITY SPIRIT THROUGH PROJECTS THAT CAN HELP IMPROVE SOCIAL JUSTICE AND RACIAL EQUALITY.
