A FOR ARIZONA OPERATES AN EXPANSION & INNOVATION FUND THAT PROVIDED SEED FUNDING TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS THAT PURSUED CREATIVE SOLUTIONS TO ADDRESS AND OVERCOME THE CHALLENGES PRESENT BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AS WELL AS TO EMPOWER INNOVATIVE SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, TEACHERS, AND FAMILIES TO IMPLEMENT THEIR BOLD IDEAS FOR REIMAGINING LEARNING MODELS, CREATING AND SCALING MORE STUDENT-FOCUSED PROGRAMS, AND DEVELOPING BETTER TEACHING AND LEARNING EDUCATIONAL APPROACHES. THESE MODELS WILL BE CAPTURED IN HOW TO PLAYBOOKS SO THAT OTHER LOCAL COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS CAN REPLICATE THEIR BEST PRACTICES AND LEARN ABOUT THEIR SUCCESSES TO DATE. A FOR ARIZONA REGULARLY CONVENED ITS SCHOOL LEADERSHIP COLLECTIVE CONSISTING OF ENTREPRENEURIAL, RESULTS-ORIENTED SCHOOL DIRECTORS AND SYSTEMS LEADERS ACROSS ARIZONA TO DISCUSS BEST PRACTICES, NAVIGATE BARRIERS, AND IDENTIFY POLICY SOLUTIONS TO ACCELERATE THE EXPANSION OF EXCELLENCE. THIS WORK WAS CRITICAL FOR PROVIDING THE STATE'S BEST LEADERS WITH A SPACE TO STRATEGIZE, RECHARGE, AND SHARE SCALABLE SOLUTIONS TO POSITIVELY IMPACT KIDS AND FAMILIES THIS SCHOOL YEAR. LASTLY, A FOR ARIZONA STUDIED, WROTE ABOUT, AND EDUCATED COMMUNITY LEADERS AND POLICY MAKERS ABOUT INNOVATIVE POLICY SOLUTIONS TO EMPOWER PUBLIC SCHOOLS TO BETTER REACH THE NEEDS OF EVERY CHILD, ACHIEVE GREATER AUTONOMY AT THE SCHOOL SITE, AND TACKLE ENGRAINED POLICY RESTRICTIONS LIKE SEAT TIME AND WAYS TO INCENTIVIZE AND MODERNIZE K-12 TRANSPORTATION.
