THE PURPOSE OF THE ATLANTIC RCHA IS TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN AND TO PRESERVE THE TRADITIONS OF THE REINED COW HORSE.

HOSTING REINED COW HORSE SHOWS WITH CLASSES BY SKILL LEVEL. REINED COW HORSES ARE ASKED TO WORK A SINGLE LIVE COW IN AN ARENA. DURING THE CLASS THE HORSE PERFORMS SPECIFIC MANEUVERS THAT INCLUDE CIRCLING THE COW, TURNING THE COW IN SPECIFIC MANNER AND PERFORMING A REINING PATTERN. THE ASSOCIATION IS ALL VOLUNTEER AND IS FAMILY ORIENTED OFFERING CLASSES FOR CHILDREN TO BECOME FAMILIAR AND COMFORTABLE WITH RIDING IN THE SHOW RING. CLASSES ARE ALSO AVAILABLE FOR EXPERIENCED RIDERS.
