OUR MISSION IS TO DISRUPT RACIAL AND ECONOMIC DISPARITIES WITHIN THE CLASSICAL MUSIC FIELD BY CHAMPIONING PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE CONTRIBUTIONS BY LATINO COMPOSERS AND MUSICIANS. OUR PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE CLASSICAL MUSIC BY LATINO AND LATIN AMERICAN COMPOSERS THROUGH PERFORMANCES COMMISSIONS MENTORING AND CHILD AND ADULT EDUCATION. OUR VISION IS TO EXPAND THE BOUNDARIES OF A CLASSICAL MUSIC TRADITION COMMONLY PERCEIVED AS PREDOMINANTLY WESTERN-EUROPEAN BY NORMALIZING EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN ALL OUR WORK.

Part 3 - Line 4a

QUINTETO LATINO: A WOODWIND QUINTET THAT PROMOTES CLASSICAL MUSIC BY LATINO AND LATIN AMERICAN COMPOSERS. THE 3 MAIN AREAS OF ACTIVITY WERE: 1. PERFORMANCES WHICH WERE MAINLY LIMITED TO VIRTUAL ONES DUE TO COVID DURING 2021-2022. 2. MUSIC EDUCATION AND 3. MENTORING AND TRAINING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS AND TEACHING ARTISTS.


CONSULTING SERVICES: CONSULTING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES TO ORGANIZATIONS AND INSTITUTIONS THAT SEEK TO IMPROVE THEIR OUTREACH AND SERVICES FOR LATINO AND LATIN AMERICAN AUDIENCES. ALSO DEVELOPMENT OF COLLATERAL MATERIALS FOR SOCIAL JUSTICE CONSULTATIONS. AS NATIONAL LEADERS FOR RACIAL EQUITY IN CLASSICAL MUSIC ORCHESTRAS AND CONSERVATORIES HAVE SOUGHT OUT LMEN'S EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE.
