BRIDGE START PILOTED THE VOLUNTEER MATCH PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO. THE AIM OF THE PROGRAM WAS TO CONNECT STUDENTS TO VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. STUDENTS WERE ASKED TO COMPLETE A GOOGLE FORM DESCRIBING THEIR INTERESTS AND EXPERIENCES AND WERE SUBSEQUENTLY SUGGESTED VOLUNTEERING POSITIONS WITH PARTNERING ORGANIZATIONS. STUDENTS WERE RECOMMENDED TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT WORK WITH VOLUNTEER BUT WHO WERE SHORT STAFFED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC.
THE VOLUNTEER MATCH PROGRAM WAS LAUNCHED AT LOYOLA UNIVERSITY.
THE VOLUNTEER MATCH PROGRAM EXPANDED TO NORTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY.
