TO EDUCATE AND ENRICH THE PUBLIC ABOUT CLASSICAL ART THROUGH THE LOANING OF ARTWORK TO MAJOR MUSEUMS. SUMMARY OF DIRECT CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES:(1) THE PRESERVATION OF ARTWORK, INCLUDING THE CATALOGUED COLLECTION OF DRAWINGS OWNED BY EUGENE V. AND CLARE E. THAW WHICH SHALL BE TRANFSERRED TO THE CORPORATION, AND TO FACILITATE THE DISPLAY OF SUCH WORKS THROUGH AN ACTIVE PROGRAM OF LOANS OF ARTWORK TO MUSEUMS AND OTHER NON-PROFIT CHARITABLE OR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS; (2) TO OTHERWISE IMPROVE EDUCATION RELATING TO THE VISUAL ARTS; AND(3) TO DO EVERYTHING NECESSARY AND PROPER FOR THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF ANY OF THE PURPOSES OR THE ATTAINING OF ANY OF THE OBJECTS FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF ANY OF THE PURPOSES ENUMERATED IN THE BYLAWS OR ANY AMENDMENT THEREOF, AND TO CARRY ON ANY LAWFUL PURSUIT NECESSARY OR INCIDENTAL TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF SUCH PURPOSE PROVIDED, THAT THE CORPORATION SHALL NOT ACCEPT OR BE RESPONSIBLE TO REVIEW ANY APPLICATIONS FOR A GRANT OR MAKE ANY GRANTS OR AWARDS.
