THE ASRT FOUNDATION AWARDED 90 SCHOLARSHIPS. 37 SCHOLARSHIPS, TOTALING 159,000, WERE AWARDED TO STUDENTS ATTENDING ENTRY-LEVEL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS IN MEDICAL IMAGING AND RADIATION THERAPY. AN ADDITIONAL 53 SCHOLARSHIPS, TOTALING 203,825, WERE AWARDED TO MEDICAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGISTS AND RADIATION THERAPISTS PURSUING ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS OR A DEGREE. THE FOUNDATION'S SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED THROUGH A COMPETITIVE PROCESS BRINGING TOGETHER A VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE OF EXPERTS IN THE FIELD TO REVIEW AND SCORE THE APPLICANTS.

THE ASRT FOUNDATION AWARDED 19 GLOBAL OUTREACH GRANTS, 4 CONTINUING EDUCATION CONFERENCE TRAVEL GRANTS, 2 INTERNATIONAL SPEAKER EXCHANGE GRANTS AND 1 RESEARCH GRANT. THE TOPIC OF THE RESEARCH GRANT FUNDED WAS, A PILOT STUDY EXPLORING HOW AN APRT PROCESS INTERVENTION IMPACTS THROUGHPUT FOR INPATIENTS REFERRED TO RADIATION ONCOLOGY AT A LARGE U.S. ACADEMIC CENTER.
