THE PURPOSE OF THE TEXAS SOCIETY OF ANESTHESIOLOGISTS IS TO ADVANCE, PROMOTE AND SUPPORT THE PRACTICE OF THE MEDICAL SPECIALTY OF ANESTHESIOLOGY IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

ANNUAL MEETING WITH EDUCATIONAL SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM DESIGNED FOR ANESTHESIOLOGISTS AND RESIDENT ANESTHESIOLOGISTS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF TSA AND THEIR COLLEAGUES IN SURROUNDING STATES. THE ANNUAL MEETING IS FOUR DAYS AND 36 AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDITS ARE OFFERED.
THE TSA BULLETIN IS PUBLISHED BIANNUALLY TO INFORM MEMBERS OF CURRENT SCIENTIFIC, LEGISLATIVE AND ECONOMIC ISSUES INVOLVING ANESTHESIOLOGY. THE TSA NEWSLETTER IS PUBLISHED EACH SPRING TO ANNOUNCE THE INTERIM MEETING AND HOUSE OF DELEGATES ELECTION RESULTS, AND TO ADVISE MEMBERS OF ACTIONS TAKEN BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS. BOTH PUBLICATIONS ARE SENT TO APPROXIMATELY 2,500 MEMBERS.
LEGAL RESEARCH AND MONITORING OF PROPOSED LEGISLATION AND LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY, AS WELL AS EFFORTS TO SECURE PASSAGE OF LEGISLATION BENEFICIAL TO THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.
THE SOCIETY ALSO PROVIDES AN ANNUAL INTERIM EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE TEXAS MEDICAL ASSOCIATION OFFERING 6 HOURS OF AMA PRA CATEGORY 1 CREDITS.
