THE PLATFORM FOCUSES ON EXPANDING CREATIVE PLACEMAKING, CREATIVE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, AND STRATEGIC PLANNING TO ENHANCE SOCIAL IMPACT. BY BUILDING BRIDGES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR RESILIENT YET UNDERUTILIZED COMMUNITIES AND INDIVIDUALS, WE EMPLOY TRAUMA-INFORMED AND EVIDENCE-BASED METHODS TO EMPOWER THE COLLECTIVE. PROVIDED GRANT WRITING AND CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE BROADWAY COMMUNITY AND ACTIVITY CENTER (BCAC), A HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATION BASED IN BUSHWICK, NY. AS A RESULT OF THESE EFFORTS, BCAC WAS AWARDED ITS FIRST MULTI-YEAR STATE GRANT FROM THE NY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND HYGIENE, TOTALING $369,000 OVER 3 YEARS. BCAC RECEIVED $123,000 IN 2022 AND $123,000 IN 2023 TO IMPLEMENT HARM REDUCTION SERVICES FOR HOMELESS POPULATIONS IN BUSHWICK.
