THE MISSION OF VOICES UNDERGROUND IS TO PROMOTE THE NATIONALLY SIGNIFICANT HISTORY OF THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD IN OUR REGION THROUGH SCHOLARLY RESEARCH AND CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS. THIS INVOLVES LEADING RESEARCH CONVENINGS RELATED TO THE REGIONAL HISTORY OF THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD AS WELL AS IDENTIFYING, CONTACTING, AND BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH ORGANIZATIONS INTERESTED IN THE REGIONAL HISTORY OF THE UNDERGROUND RAILROAD.
