THE SPANISH SPEAKING ELDERLY COUNCIL-RAICES (RAICES) THROUGH ITS NINE (9) SENIOR CENTERS, ITS OUTPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH CLINIC AND THE RAICES ACCESS PROGRAM PROVIDES CONGREGATE BREAKFASTS, CONGREGATE LUNCH, CASE ASSISTANCE, NUTRITION EDUCATION, EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, CELEBRATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS, HEALTH PROMOTION, OUTREACH SERVICES, BENEFIT AND ENTITLEMENT COUNSELING, MENTAL HEALTH INTERVENTION, AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES, TO APPROXIMATELY 2,125 HISPANIC, BLACK AND LOW INCOME PARTICIPANTS ON A YEARLY BASIS.
