JOSEPH HOUSE COMMUNITY OUTREACH CENTER WILL BE A MODEL OF HUMANITARIAN SERVICE TO TRANSFORM COMMUNITIES TO PROVIDE LOVE AND SUPPORT TO THOSE IN ORDER TO PROMOTE INDEPENDENCE. JOSEPH HOUSE COMMUNITY OUTREACH CENTER'S MISSION IS TO PROVIDE EASY ACCESS TO NUTRITIONAL FOOD FOR THE ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED, UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS OF HARRIS COUNTY AND SURROUNDING AREAS.

JOSEPH HOUSE COMMUNITY OUTREACH CENTER SERVICED APPROXIMATELY 98,334 INDIVIDUALS FOR THE 2020 CALENDAR YEAR AND 38,736 FAMILIES FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR. JOSEPH HOUSE COMMUNITY OUTREACH CENTER IS PROUD TO PROVIDE SO MANY FAMILIES IN THE HARRIS COUNTY AREA AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES WITH NEEDS RANGING FROM FOOD ITEMS, CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, SUPPLIES , AND MUCH MORE. WE SERVE AS A HUB FOR NATURAL DISASTER AND HAVE CONTINUED OPERATION THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE YEAR, EVEN DURING COVID 19 MOST INTENSE TIMES, FLOODING, AND THE TEXAS WINTER STORM. HOUSTON FOOD BANK COVID 19 CAPACITY GRANT $40,000, WAS USED TO INCREASE THE PANTRY PROGRAM AND INCREASE CURRENT CAPACITY WE COULD SERVICE AT THE TIME. WE WERE ABLE TO INCREASE NOT ONLY FROZEN STORAGE OF GOODS FOR THE COMMUNITY ,BUT ALSO CREATE WAREHOUSE STORAGE FOR NON PERISHABLE GOODS. THE RED CROSS DONATED $35,000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF A NEW BOX TRUCK. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN USED TO ANSWER TO DISASTER AREAS DURING TIMES OF EMERGENCY, SPECIFICALLY FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS IN AREAS THAT ARE STILL AFFECTED BY HURRICANE HARVEY. WE ARE HAPPY TO HAVE BEEN THE RECIPIENT OF AWARDS FROM 18TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT CURRENT OFFICE, THE HOUSTON FOOD BANK, HARRIS COUNTY SERVICES DEPARTMENT , THE SHERIFF OFFICE, THE 29TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT, COUNCIL MEMBER MIKE KNOX, COUNCIL MEMBER MICHAEL KUBOSH, COUNCIL MEMBER KARLA CISNEROS, AND FROM THE HOUSTON MAYOR HIMSELF.
