CULTIVATE SOUTH PARK IS A RESIDENT-LED ASSET-BASED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION IDENTIFYING, CONNECTING, AND CELEBRATING NEIGHBORHOOD GIFTS TO CO-CREATE A MORE EQUITABLE SOUTH PARK. ROOTED IN LOVE AND JOY, WE CREATE INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS IN FOOD, ENVIRONMENTAL, HOUSING AND ECONOMIC JUSTICE.

URBAN FRESH FOOD COLLECTIVE: IN 2021 CULTIVATE SOUTH PARK FACILITATED ACCESS TO CULTURALLY RELEVANT FOOD FOR LOW INCOME NEIGHBORS THROUGH PROJECTS LIKE EL MERCADITO FARMERS MARKET AND THE CASA ORILLA FOOD PANTRY. WE CONTINUE TO DELIVER GROCERIES TO FAMILIES IN NEED WELL AFTER THE HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC.
ARTS&CULTURE COLLECTIVE: CULTIVATE SPONSORED NUMEROUS NEIGHBORHOOD ART PROJECTS AND HOSTED A VARIETY OF CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS IN 2021 FROM DANCE AND COOKING TO PAINTING AND SONGWRITING. WE ENCOURAGED SOUTH PARK RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE TO INDULGE IN CREATIVE EXPRESSION WITH COMMUNITY.
EQUITABLE DEVELOPMENT: DURING 2021 CULTIVATE SUPPORTED INITIATIVES FOCUSED ON HEALTHY ENVIRONMENTS, JOBS AND WEALTH CREATION, PLACEMAKING THROUGH HIGHWAY DECOMMISSION, COMMUNITY OWNERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. WE PROVIDED ART PROGRAMMING AND GREEN-JOB SKILLS TRAINING TO YOUTH THROUGH INTERNSHIPS.
