THE RURAL DEVELOPMENT FUND'S (RDF) CURRENT AND FUTURE PLANS ARE TO FULFILL THE OBLIGATIONS SET FORTH IN THE WORK PLAN SUBMITTED TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADMINISTRATION (EDA) FOR A $5 MILLION REVOLVING LOAN FUND (RLF) PROGRAM. RDF PLANS TO CONTINUE TO GROW ITS NETWORK OF COMMERCIAL LENDERS THROUGHOUT WYOMING. RDF'S GROWTH CAPITAL PROGRAM PURCHASES SUBORDINATED PARTICIPATIONS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH COMMERCIAL LENDERS INTO ELIGIBLE PROJECTS. RDF HAS 2.5 YEARS REMAINING TO DEPLOY THE REVOLVING LOAN FUND $5 MILLION ALLOCATION. DEPLOYING THE EDA RLF IS RDF'S PRIMARY OBJECTIVE.A UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA) RURAL BUSINESS ENTERPRISE GRANT (RBEG) IS ALSO AVAILABLE FOR THE RDF TO DEPLOY. THIS $170,000 FUND IS AVAILABLE IN CAMPBELL, CROOK, WESTON, NIOBRARA, AND CONVERSE COUNTIES. THIS FUND WOULD DEPLOY MONIES TO ELIGIBLE COMMERCIAL BUSINESSES THROUGH A SUBORDINATED LOAN PARTICIPATION IN PARTNERSHIP WITH A COMMERCIAL LENDER. THERE IS NO TIME FRAME TO DEPLOY FUNDS THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, BUT RDF WOULD LIKE TO HAVE FUNDS FULLY COMMITTED ONCE THE RIGHT PROJECT(S) ARISE.
