AT CAMP TUKU, OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A MINDFULNESS APPROACH TO THE CAMP EXPERIENCE FOR KIDS; A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO INTEGRATE THE MIND, BODY, AND HEART, GIVING KIDS SKILLS EARLY IN LIFE TO HELP THEM NURTURE INNER RESILIENCE. WITH A FOCUS ON DEVELOPING MINDFULNESS SKILLS, OUR UNIQUE SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE OFFERS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR KIDS TO LEARN AND PRACTICE SIMPLE, FUN TOOLS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF SELF-AWARENESS, AS WELL AS PRACTICES THAT WILL ENABLE THEM TO RESPOND MORE EFFECTIVELY TO THE INEVITABLE STRESS OF EVERY-DAY LIFE.

OVERNIGHT RESIDENTIAL CAMP IN 2022, CAMP TUKU SERVED 210 CAMPERS AT OUR TWO WEEKLY SESSION RESIDENTIAL CAMPS (7 DAYS/6 NIGHTS. DURING THIS TIME CAMPERS PARTICIPATED IN A NUMBER OF ACTIVITIES THAT INCREASED THEIR SELF-CONFIDENCE, SOCIAL AWARENESS, AND EMPOWERED THEM WITH CRITICAL SKILLS TO LEAD HAPPIER AND HEALTHIER LIVES.IN A MOVEMENT TO PROMOTE THE SOCIAL, PHYSICAL, AND EMOTIONAL WELLBEING OF CHILDREN, CAMP TUKU IS CREATING A PATHWAY TO A JOYFUL JOURNEY FOR OUR CAMPERS TO UNLEASH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL. WE ARE TEACHING YOUTH PRACTICAL SKILLS TO BUILD INNER RESILIENCE, DEVELOP A GROWTH MINDSET, AND CULTIVATE STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS. CAMPERS LEARN EVIDENCE-BASED STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE THEIR ABILITY TO MANAGE DIFFICULT EMOTIONS, IMPROVE RELATIONAL SKILLS, DEVELOP AN ETHICAL COMPASS, NAVIGATE CONFLICTS, AND PROACTIVELY RESPOND TO CHALLENGES IN LIFE.
