Part 3
WE HAVE SECURED DONATED APARTMENT COMPLEXES WHERE WE WORK WITH MANAGEMENT TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR THE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY PROVIDING BASIC NECESSITIES SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING, AND COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES AND SERVICES IN COLLABORATION WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS WITH A SIMILAR FOCUS. WE CURRENTLY PROVIDE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SERVICES TO SEVERAL COMMUNITIES WHICH ARE CATEGORIZED AS FOOD DESERTS. OUR CLIENTS ARE LOW INCOME, THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED, YOUNG INDIVIDUALS, AND FAMILIES WITH LITTLE OR NO ACCESS TO BARE NECESSITIES. AT THE END OF THIS YEAR, WE WERE SERVING AN AVERAGE OF 200 FAMILIES. BESIDES PROVIDING BASIC NEEDS AS STATED, SUCH AS ACCESS TO FOOD, WE ARE SOUGHT AFTER BY THE COMMUNITIES FOR EMERGENCY SUPPORT WHENEVER FAMILIES FIND THEMSELVES AFFECTED BY THE SUDDEN INCARCERATION OR DEATH OF A FAMILY MEMBER. WE COLLABORATE WITH MANY COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A WIDER RANGE OF SUPPORT TO THESE LOW INCOME FAMILIES.
