Part 3
THE BRIDGE PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOCUSED ON DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION. FOR EXAMPLE, THE BRIDGE RECENTLY HELD A WEBINAR ENTITLED "THOUGHT TO ACTION." THE WEBINAR WAS STRUCTURED AS A PANEL DISCUSSION BETWEEN CHIEF DIVERSITY OFFICERS AT MAJOR INSURANCE CARRIERS. THE PURPOSE OF THE WEBINAR WAS TO EDUCATE THE PARTICIPANTS ON STEPS THEY CAN TAKE TO BE MORE INCLUSIVE AS INDIVIDUALS, AS WELL AS DISCUSSING STRATEGIES FOR PARTICIPANTS TO HELP DEVELOP MORE INCLUSIVE CORPORATE CULTURES. THE BRIDGE ALSO HAS A MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WHICH CONNECTS MORE SENIOR LEADERS IN THE FINANCIAL LINES INSURANCE INDUSTRY WITH JUNIOR MEMBERS IN THE INDUSTRY. THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM IS FOR MENTORS TO EDUCATE THEIR MENTEES AND OFFER CAREER SUPPORT AND ADVICE. THE OVERALL GOAL OF THE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM IS TO FOSTER DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION WITHIN THE FINANCIAL LINES INDUSTRY. DUE TO COVID-19, THE BRIDGE CURRENTLY PROVIDES ITS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING VIA WEBINARS. IN ADDITION, THE MENTORS AND MENTEES MEET VIRTUALLY. TO THE EXTENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS ALLOW, THE BRIDGE INTENDS TO RESUME IN-PERSON EDUCATIONAL AND MENTORING PROGRAMMING. THE BRIDGE WILL LIKELY CONTINUE TO HOST SOME VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING AS WELL.
