THE BIA ASSOCIATION CONNECTS BUSINESSES, RESIDENTS, AND VISITORS IN THE BROADWAY BUSINESS AREA OF SEATTLE TO CREATE A SAFE, CLEAN, AND THRIVING COMMUNITY THAT IS WELCOME TO ALL.

IN ADDITION TO OUR NORMAL PROGRAM OF SEVEN DAY A WEEK GARBAGE CLEANUP AND GRAFFITI ABATEMENT, IN 2022THROUGH FEDERAL AND LOCAL GRANT FUNDINGWE STARTED OR COMPLETED A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT NEW PROGRAMS. WE COMMISSIONED A GIANT MURAL IN THE MIDST OF OUR BUSINESS DISTRICT, MADE BANNERS TO HIGHLIGHT THE DIVERSITY OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD, STARTED IN ON SEVERAL OTHER PROJECTS INCLUDING OUR LGBTQIA+ PORTRAIT PROJECT FOR OUR SIGNAL BOXES AND A DIGITAL BUSINESS GUIDE FOR THE WHOLE NEIGHBORHOOD, BOTH OF WHICH WE PLAN TO FULLY LAUNCH IN 2023. WE ALSO SPONSORED LOCAL EVENTS ON BROADWAY, SUCH AS TAKING PRIDE IN CAPITOL HILL, PRIDEFEST, AND HILLOWEEN, AS WELL AS PAYING FOR TREE LIGHTING DURING THE HOLIDAYS.
