SNAPKIDS IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ENRICHING THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES BY PROVIDING COMMUNITY BASED SWIMMING AND AQUATIC ACTIVITIES AND VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES TO BUILD MORE DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE AND JUST COMMUNITIES.

SNAPKIDS IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITY BASED AQUATIC SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN ORDER TO COMBAT ISOLATION AND INACTIVITY, WE PIVOTED TO ONLINE FITNESS ACTIVITIES IN ORDER TO KEEP OUR SPECIAL CHILDREN ENGAGED AND ACTIVE. WITH OVER 900 SESSIONS UTILIZING OVER 2200 VOLUNTEER HOURS WE INCLUDED CHILDREN WITH A WIDE RANGE OF PHYSICAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL ABILITIES AND UTILIZED VOLUNTEERS LOCALLY AND FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. CHILDREN COULD PARTICIPATE IN GROUP CLASSES, INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS, AND VIEW ADAPTED YOGA AND DANCE VIDEOS THAT COULD BE ACCESSED ANYTIME. WE WERE PLEASED TO PROVIDE UNIQUE AND MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCES FOR OUR CHILDREN AND VOLUNTEERS, ALL WORKING TOGETHER TO CREATE A MORE INCLUSIVE AND JUST SOCIETY. WE LOOK FORWARD TO RETURNING TO THE POOL WHEN IT SAFE TO DO SO.
