THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENT IS CONDUCTING PUBLIC EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS WITH SPEAKER PANELS INCLUDING MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELORS, AND PEOPLE WITH PERSONAL LIFE EXPERIENCES WITH RECOVERY FROM ADDICTION AND LOSS OF FAMILY MEMBER TO OVERDOES. THE ORGANIZATION HELD A ZOOM PANEL DISCUSSION ON FENTANYL & MARIJUANA ON SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 WITH 24 PARTICIPANTS; HELD A ZOOM PANEL DISCUSSION ON APRIL 25, 2022 ON HOW COVID-19 HAS AFFECTED THE MENTAL HEALTH OF STUDENTS IN COLLABORATION WITH THE PORT WASHINGTON AND MANHASSET SCHOOL DISTRICTS WITH A PANEL OF 7 AND 36 ATTENDEES; THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS HEROIN TASK FORCE MEETINGS EVERY THIRD THURSDAY OF THE MONTH UP TO 36 PEOPLE ATTEND EVERY MONTH; THE ORGANIZATION HELD MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS MARCHES DOWN MAIN STREET IN PORT WASHINGTON ON OCTOBER 17, 2021 AND ON PLANDOME ROAD IN MANHASSET ON MAY 14, 2022, APPROXIMATELY 100 PARTICIPANTS MARCHED IN EACH OF THESE EVENTS THAT FEATURED LIVE MUSIC, ADDRESSES FROM PUBLIC SPEAKERS INCLUDING THE TOWN SUPERVISOR AND OTHER ELECTED OFFICIALS, THESE MARCHES RAISED PUBLIC AWARENESS AND PROVIDED EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES TO EDUCATE AND INFORM THE PUBLIC ABOUT ADDICTION PROBLEMS; THE ORGANIZATION HAS ALSO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATED IN RELATED ORGANIZATIONS' EVENTS INCLUDING, INTER ALIA, A CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR THE NORTHPORT COMMUNITY AND ALCOHOL TASK FORCE (APPROX. 75 ATTENDEES), THE ANGEL BALL KICK-OFF FOR LICADD (LONG ISLAND COUNCIL ON ADDICTION AND DRUG DEPENDENCY) ON APRIL 5, 2022 (APPROX. 60 PARTICIPANTS), THE SEAFIELD CENTER PODCAST, WHEREIN 12-15 PEOPLE DISCUSS SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING FROM A PROFESSIONAL PERSPECTIVE, INTERFACING AND SHARING INFORMATION AND TECHNIQUES WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELING AGENCIES IN THE NEW YORK METROPOLITAN AREA; PARTICIPATING IN DRUG FREE LONG ISLAND AND MANHASSET COALITION AGAINST SUBSTANCE ABUSE (CASA) SECTOR MONTHLY MEETINGS, AND A ZOOM DISCUSSION ON MENTAL HEALTH SOLUTIONS: IMPROVING CARE ON MAY 4, 2021; THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ORGANIZED AND RAN A COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE IN THE SUMMER OF 2021 SERVICING FOOD PANTRIES IN THE PORT WASHINGTON AREA. EXPENSES ATTRIBUTABLE TO THESE PROGRAM SERVICES ACCOMPLISHMENTS INCLUDE THE PRINTING COSTS OF $942 FOR THE PRINTING OF INFORMATIONAL FLYERS/PAMPHLETS/TOTE BAGS DISTRIBUTED TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC, SUPPLIES AND MATERIALS OF $1,474, TRAVEL/MEETING EXPENSES OF $193, $1,407 IN ADVERTISING EXPENSES TO PROMOTE THESE EVENTS, AND $160 IN PERMIT FEES FOR THE MARCHES, AS WELL AS THE $3965 FROM LINE 10 FOR CONTRIBUTIONS MADE TO OTHER 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATIONS AS REFERENCED ABOVE.
