OUR MISSION IS TO ACTIVATE AND ENGAGE THROUGH EDUCATION, COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING, INCLUSION AND HOLISTIC CARE. WE PROVIDE COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES TO EXPECTING FAMILIES IN AN EFFORT TO REDUCE MATERNAL MORTALITY AND MORBIDITY AMONGST EXPECTANT FAMILIES.

GRANT FUNDS ARE USED FOR A VARIETY OF PURPOSES, INCLUDING THE COSTS OF CLASSES, WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL SERVICES, INCLUDING VILLAGE BABY SHOWERS, GROUP PRENATAL SERVICES, LACTATION SUPPORT, NEW FATHERS GROUPS ETC. FUNDING GOES TOWARDS OUR ACCESS TO HOME BIRTH FUND, WHICH IS DEDICATED TO ENSURING THAT THOSE WHO DESIRE AND ARE APPROPRIATE CANDIDATES FOR HOME BIRTH ARE ABLE TO SECURE MIDWIFERY SERVICES, WHEN INSURANCE WONT COVER IT. FUNDING ALSO SUPPORTS OUR TRAINING OF THE BIRTH WORKER COMMUNITY, INCLUDING TRAINING AND SKILLS FROM MIDWIVES AND BIRTH WORKERS GLOBALLY, AS WELL A COMPENSATING STAFF VIA STIPENDS AND REIMBURSEMENT.
