STATE OF COLORADO OFFICE OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT ACT (CYMHTA) (C.R.S. 27-67- 101 ET. SEQ.) IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT TO THOSE CHILDREN AND YOUTH WHO ARE AT RISK OF OUT-OF-HOME PLACEMENT, TO PREVENT UNWARRANTED CHILD WELFARE INVOLVEMENT. PARENTS OR LEGAL GUARDIANS EXPERIENCE CHALLENGING CIRCUMSTANCES WHEN THEIR CHILDREN HAVE SIGNIFICANT MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS, WHICH CAN RESULT IN A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CRISIS, PUTTING CHILDREN AT RISK OF OUT-OF-HOME PLACEMENT.
