TO ENCOURAGE THE PRESERVATON OF THE HISTORICAL INTEGRITY OF THE FLORISSANT REGION AND THE WEST SLOPE OF PIKES PEAK AND TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE RICH HISTORICAL HERITAGE OF FLORISSANT AND THE WEST SLOPE OF PIKES PEAK.

PRESERVE AND PROTECT HISTORIC SITES: TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT HISTORIC SITES, 22 VOLUNTEERS DONATED 172 HOURS, VALUED AT $4,128. THIS PROJECT INCLUDED THE HISTORIC FLORISSANT TOWNSITE, FLORISSANT PIONEER CEMETERY.
EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH:PPHS NORMALLY PROVIDES MANY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS (CHAUTAUQUAS) FREE TO THE PUBLIC THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, PLUS ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS TO SCHOOLS, STATE PARKS, AND TO OTHER MUSEUMS. OUR OPERATIONS WERE SEVRELY CONSTRAINED BY COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS. THE PROGRAM DID ENLIST SERVICES OF 5 VOLUNTEERS WHO DONATED 26 HOURS AND SERVED OVER 120 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC.
MUSEUMPPHS OPERATES PIKES PEAK HISTORICAL SOCIETY MUSEUM AND SCHOOL HOUSE MUSEUM TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC. PPHS MUSEUM HAD 31 VOLUNTEERS WHO DONATED 651 HOURS VALUED AT $15,264, PPHS MUSEUM ALSO SERVED 1352 VISITORS AT THE MUSEUM AND THROUGH THE EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH PROGRAMS.
