THE AGRICULTURAL FOR ALL GRANT PROGRAM IS USED TO ASSIST STUDENTS (FFA MEMBERS) ENROLLED IN AGRICULTURAL EDUCATION COURSES IN COLORADO START OR ENHANCE AN ENTERPRISE WITHIN THEIR SUPERVISED AGRICULTURE EXPERIENCE PROGRAM (SAE)A WORK BASED LEARNING PROGRAM. THOSE RECEIVING A GRANT ARE PAIRED WITH THEIR DONOR OR A MENTOR TO PROVIDE ADVICE, OFFER AN OUTSIDE PERSPECTIVE, ASSIST WITH SAE/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AND FOSTER THE DEVELOPMENT OF A BUSINESS RELATIONSHIP. GRANTS ARE TYPICALLY BETWEEN $1000-$2000 FOR INDIVIDUALS DEPENDING ON THE SIZE AND SCOPE OF THE SAE. SCHOOL BASED APPLICANTS ARE USUALLY HIGHER BASED ON THE NUMBER OF STUDENTS BEING SERVED THROUGH THE PROGRAM.
FFA PROVIDES AN AWARDS AND SCHOLORSHIPS PROGRAM TO RECOGNIZE FFA MEMBERS WHO DEMONSTRATE EXCEPTIONAL PROGRESS IN THEIR AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES AND STUDIES IN AREAS RANGING FROM AGRICULTURAL SALES TO WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT. CASH AND TRAVEL AWARDS AND SCHOLORSHIPS ARE GIVEN TO TOP WINNERS. APPROXIMATELY 250 STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE AWARDS AND SCHOLORSHIP PROGRAM LAST YEAR.
CAREER DEVELOPMENT AWARDS - THE COLORADO FFA ASSOCIATION, IN ASSOCIATION WITH CSU, OFFERS 18 DIFFERENT COMPETITIVE EVENTS THAT CHALLENGE FFA MEMBERS TO USE THEIR SPECIFIC AGRICULTURAL KNOWLEDGE AS WELL AS A WIDE RANGE OF EXPERTISE FROM COMMUNICATION SKILLS TO ANALYTICAL AND CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS. THE EVENTS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP PREPARE STUDENTS FOR CAREES IN AGRICULTURE. FUNDING PROVIDES PLAQUES, MEDALS AND CASH AWARDS TO THE TOP THREE, AND ONE TRAVELSCHOLORSHIP TO THE WINNER THAT WILL REPRESENT COLORADO AT THE NATIONAL COMPETITION. APPROXIMATELY 1,275 STUDENTS PARTICPATE ANNUALLY.
