FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE/HOUSING: FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE TO OVERCOME BARRIERS AND PROVIDE FOR EFFECTIVE SAFETY PLANNING AND VICTIM-CENTERED ADVOCACY. ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE FOR EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH RELOCATION, TRANSPORTATION, CAR REPAIR, AND UTILITIES. IN 2021, 139 CLIENTS RECEIVED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. HOUSING - THE HOUSING PROGRAM PROVIDES SHORT-TERM EMERGENCY SAFE-HOUSING, TRANSITIONAL HOUSING, AND LONG-TERM RENTAL AND UTILITY ASSISTANCE TO VICTIMS AS NEEDED. WE PROVIDE VICTIMS WITH SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, SUCH AS LANDLORD SUPPORT, NAVIGATING HOUSING RESOURCES, AND BUDGETING TO FACILITATE THEM IN SECURING LONG-TERM HOUSING. IN 2021, 91 CLIENTS RECEIVED HOUSING SERVICES.
EDUCATION/PREVENTION/OUTREACH: EDUCATION PROGRAMS - OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS INCLUDE VIOLENCE PREVENTION, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, BYSTANDER INTERVENTION, AND HOW TO RESPOND IF A SURVIVOR DISCLOSES ABUSE OR ASSAULT. THE PROGRAMS TARGET A VARIETY OF POPULATIONS INCLUDING YOUTH, GENERAL PUBLIC, AND COMMUNITY LEADERS. IN 2021, THE ALLIANCE HAD 43 COMMUNITY EVENTS, WITH APPROXIMATELY 1,075 PARTICIPANTS. INDIVIDUAL PEER SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY - THE ALLIANCE HAS 6 PAID AND 15 VOLUNTEER ADVOCATES THAT PROVIDE NON-JUDGEMENTAL AND PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO ADULT AND CHILD VICTIMS UTILIZING VICTIM-CENTERED POLICIES AND PRACTICES TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE SAFETY AND STABILITY. 175 CLIENTS RECEIVED INDIVIDUAL PEER SUPPORT AND ADVOCACY SERVICES IN 2021. LEGAL COURT ADVOCACY - LEGAL AID COSTS ARE A BARRIER FOR MOST DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE VICTIMS. PROVIDING LEGAL ADVOCACY, COURT ACCOMPANIMENT, INFORMATION, AND SUPPORT ARE ALL IMPORTANT COMPONENTS OF EMPOWERING VICTIMS. WHEN VICTIMS KNOW THERE IS LEGAL ADVOCACY AND REPRESENTATION AVAILABLE, THEY HAVE THE OPTION TO SEEK JUSTICE AND ARE OFTEN EMPOWERED TO DO SO. IN 2021, 38 CLIENTS RECEIVED LEGAL SERVICES.
