COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAMS - THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A PRO BONO MENTAL WELLNESS COUNSELING PROGRAM IN DENVER, PUEBLO, HUERFANO, LAS ANIMAS AND BOULDER COUNTIES. THE PROGRAM PROVIDES FREE OF CHARGE EDUCATIONAL AND COUNSELING SERVICES TO COLORADO RESIDENTS WHO ARE EXPERIENCING A BARRIER TO MENTAL WELLNESS SERVICES. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES A DISASTER RECOVERY HOME REHABILITATION AND ACCESS PROGRAM AND PROVIDES VOLUNTEER MANAGEMENT EXPERTISE AND SERVICES IN RESPONSE TO A DISASTER. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OPERATES THE SENIOR COMPANION AND RSVP PROGRAMS ON BEHALF OF AMERICORPS. THE PROGRAMS PROVIDE COMPANION SERVICES BY LOW-INCOME ADULTS 55+ TO OLDER ADULTS AGING AT HOME, AS WELL AS ENGAGING OLDER ADULTS IN SEVEN COLORADO COUNTIES TO ADDRESS FOOD INSECURITY CHALLENGES. BOTH PROGRAMS OFFER A MEANINGFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR ADULTS WHO MAY BE EXPERIENCING LONELINESS, ISOLATION, ANXIETY OR DEPRESSION. THE PROGRAMS PROVE OUR OLDER ADULTS ARE VALUABLE TO A CONNECTED, RESILIENT, EQUITABLE AND STRONG COMMUNITY.
